Afternoon tea at the Heights - serving a traditional Dorset cream tea
Afternoon tea is a treat or an occasion and is steeped in
tradition. Every element must be right to create both the right
atmosphere as well as a gastronomic experience.
We ensure our afternoon teas are given extra attention to detail and
a little bit of love so that you will want to experience a Dorset
cream tea again and again. Afternoon tea is served between 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. (Bookings advised - see below).
Dorset cream tea
Our Dorset cream tea consists of two homemade scones, one fruit and one plain, baked daily by Elaine in our kitchen. This is served with Dorset clotted cream direct from Craig's farm based over in Osmington, just along the Dorset coast and strawberry jam. A selection of mini cream cakes and sandwiches consisting of egg and cress, smoked salmon and cucumber and cream cheese accompany your scones. And of course no Dorset cream tea would be complete without the tea, or coffee if you prefer. The cost is just £16.50 per couple.

Afternoon Tea
If the traditional Dorset cream tea isn't what you fancy then do not despair. Sample some of the other delights available to those attending afternoon tea at the Heights such as the delicious Dorset apple cake, Victoria sandwich, carrot cake and lemon syrup cake all served with real Dorset clotted cream. Elaine also bakes shortbread stars each morning and we also have a variety of handmade biscuits, chocolate biscuit slice, rich almond slice and caramel slice.
