Every wednesday throughout the month join our wildlife guide, Bob Ford, as he takes you on a walk around Portland. Each walk lasts approximately 90 minutes, covers a distance of 1 to 2 miles and sets of at 10:00 AM from the Hotel car park. Visit Bob's Dorset Walks website for a full itinary.

Normandy Day - D Day Picnic – Nothe Gardens. Join in a picnic celebration to remember troops who took part in the D Day Normandy landing on 6 June 1944. Army camp and vehicle display, musical entertainment, 1940’s memorabilia plus lots of free family fun and games, including a “ration book trail”. 12 noon to 4.30 pm. (6th)
Middle Distance Triathlon – Greenhill Beach. “Take up the Challenge”. Well established top long distance triathlon in Great Britain. Attracting competitors from all over the Country and Europe. Ideal opportunity for the public to view at close hand the challenging demands of an endurance event. (6th)
Annual Hardy Country Vintage Vehicle Tour – Starting at Kingston Maurward, touring through beautiful “Tess of the Durbervilles” countryside and finishing at the Weymouth Pavilion for an afternoon static display until 4 pm. Raising money for Weldmar Hospice Trust and Cancer Care Dorset. (6th)

Weymouth and Portland Armed Forces Day Celebrations, ‘Celebrating Britain’s Armed Forces: past, present and future. Events and activities include Saturday 12th June - Beach Assault and Bridge Building Demonstration – 12 noon, Weymouth Beach. Military Vehicle Convoy – Departing from Weymouth Seafront early afternoon, parade through the Borough to Portland to form up as a static display for the afternoon. On Sunday 13th - Open Air Church Service and Parade – Weymouth Esplanade, 11 am. (12th to 18th)
1940’s Day – Portland Castle. Join us for some games and take a look around the vehicles as they end their Convoy early afternoon. (18th)
Best of Dorset Music Festival – Milborne St Andrew. (18th to 20th)
St Martin’s Broadmayne Community Market – In St Martin’s Community Hall from 2pm to 3.30 pm. A village market of homemade cakes and produce, plants, crafts, local farm produce, fair trade goods, a raffle, library etc and enjoy a cup of tea and a chat. (18th)

Vintage Bus Running Day – Weymouth College. 11 am – 5 pm. The 4th gathering of Vintage Buses in the Borough. Free bus rides to Portland Bill, Bowleaze Cove and the Nothe Fort with static display at Weymouth College. (20th)
Classics on the Prom Vintage Vehicle Rally – Weymouth Seafront. Annual display of vintage and classic vehicles presented by Transport of Yesteryear.10.30 am to 4.00 pm. (20th)

Vintage and Classic Car Show – Chickerell. 10 am to 5 pm. Charity Vintage and Classic Car Show and family fun day out featuring over 100 vehicles of a by-gone age including cars, motorcycles, commercials, tractors etc. This annual show will be raising funds for Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance.
