Every wednesday throughout the month join our wildlife guide, Bob Ford, as he takes you on a walk around Portland. Each walk lasts approximately 90 minutes, covers a distance of 1 to 2 miles and sets of at 10:00 AM from the Hotel car park. Visit Bob's Dorset Walks website for a full itinary.
Community Guy Fawkes Celebrations – Weymouth Beach (5th)
Upwey Bonfire Night. From 6 pm, a huge bonfire lit at 6 pm with a great firework display to follow. Tel: 01305 815989. (5th)
Southwell Fireworks – Portland.
St Martin’s Fayre – St Martin’s Community Hall. 10 am to 12 noon. A fayre with a variety of stalls including homemade produce, craft, tombola, childrens games various competitions all kinds of things for Christmas. Refreshments available. (13th)

Heron roost watch - RSPB Radipole Lake Nature Reserve. We will be looking out for grey herons, little egrets and the rare and elusive bittern from the north hide. Christmas Festival – Brewers Quay. Beautifully decorated and with staff in traditional Victorian costume, Brewers Quay extends a seasonal warm welcome and invites you to celebrate the magical sights, sounds and tastes of Christmas. (22nd to 24th of December)
