Every wednesday throughout the month join our wildlife guide, Bob Ford, as he takes you on a walk around Portland. Each walk lasts approximately 90 minutes, covers a distance of 1 to 2 miles and sets of at 10:00 AM from the Hotel car park. Visit Bob's Dorset Walks website for a full itinary.

B-Side Multi Media Festival – Various locations throughout the Borough. B-Side (the seaside) multi media festival gives an opportunity for artists based in the South West to respond to various locations in Weymouth and Portland using film, projections, performance, sound and new technology. Digital Photography Field Trip – RSPB Lodmoor Nature Reserve. 10am – 12 noon. Beetles, blooms, berries and birds. This field trip is designed to get the best photo’s from a combination of camera and lenses. A great opportunity to improve your skills at wildlife digital photography. Booking essential. St Martin’s Broadmayne Community Market – In St Martin’s Community Hall from 2pm to 3.30 pm. A village market of homemade cakes and produce, plants, crafts, local farm produce, fair trade goods, a raffle, library etc and enjoy a cup of tea and a chat. (17th)

Kingfisher quest weekend – RSPB Radipole Lake. 10 am-3 pm. September is a great month to see kingfishers at Radipole Lake, we will have spotters located at different areas around the reserve to point out any kingfishers on show. Wedding Fair & Bridal Show – Bennetts Water Gardens. A wedding exhibition will be held in a marquee within these beautiful gardens which are licensed for civil ceremonies.
